If your reading this review and your thinking of joining here, its worth every penny, not just because of the amazing equipment they have, because of the amazing staff they have, friendly and very helpful, front of house Mary and her team are always very welcoming on arrive and when leaving the gym. Yes its a huge gym with lots of classes going on aswell as the members in the gym areas, who are helpful if your new to machines etc. I joined from a recommendation and now I hope if your thinking of joining this will be a recommendation from this review. Decent gym. Not sure about some of the new machines, they don't seem natural movements.
Lots of Life Fitness, Hammer Strength MTS equipment and free weights, but most are many years old and are the very basic models. None of the machines have the modern connect consoles for recording and tracking your exercise over time. During Dec 2018/Jan 2019 they plan to upgrade the gym and equipment, so we'll see what machines are changed and what the new ones are like.My biggest disappointment is that although they promote themselves as having a "family gym", the family area is extremely poorly equipped with no reduced sized equipment that I can spot. They used to have 2 smaller elliptical cross trainers, but even those were broken months ago and were removed totally a few weeks back.There is also no dedicated Parent & Child changing facility. So unless your growing child is old enough to use the correct gender changing and shower facilities independently, the only option is to use the facilities with you and other adults of the opposite sex, whom frequently walk around the room naked whether a child is there or not. Not an issue with younger children, but very inappropriate when the child is above 5 or 6 years old.In my view, this is a failing of the club that really must provide appropriate facilities to all members. As I said above, they do market themselves as a family friendly gym.The gym is generally clean and the staff always friendly.
Nice gym, an abundance of equipment and the running track is great. Lovely spa area although the heaters were broken when i went so the water was very cold, hence only 4 stars.
Great place for rehabilitation, Gym, swimming pool and changing areas were really clean and staff are friendly Plenty of parking including disabled bays. Children play area is great Really easy to find.
