I came on a recommendation today, Justin is the hairdresser who has transformed my hair from wild frizz to a fantastic short bob style. Justin has such concentration on cutting to perfection, it is a long time since I met a hairdresser with the flair and understandings of how important it is to get it right. I will never go to another hairdresser now Ive found the best there is.

Just had an incredibly bizarre encounter at Esky. Attended to get my hair put up in rollers for an event tonight. I brought my own rollers and hair grips with me as I had explained on booking I would leave with them in. Older lady who did my hair was quite rude on several occasions and seemed to have a general attitude problem. I sat down and said Id attended to have a blow dry and rollers put in, for which I had the bag of rollers with me so I could leave with them in- she abruptly says no and cuts me off. Not oh sorry you cant go home with them or oh have you brought your own?, just a sharp No you cant have that-end of. I looked confused because Id called saying I was bringing my own and explained Id booked to have my own put in and leave with them. After this she agreed to put them in. She washed my hair, brought me back to the chair and started to dry it off. I asked if I could have hair moose as Id previously used her volume building spray before and it doesnt work on my hair. Again she seems annoyed Ive even asked and gives me an irritated reply that whoever had been using it in the past on my hair (i.e me) had been using it wrong. So no moose for me! She puts the rollers in and I ask if she could put the hair grips in so the rollers stay in my hair properly as I will leave them in for a few hours. Again she tells me that they dont need it. At this point I felt like explaining to her that I have had velcro rollers in my hair for over 2 decades and know that they need hair grips to keep them in, hence why I brought them with me. However I asked again if she would just humour me and do it (you know since Im paying for her to do my hair). She then finally agreed to put the effort in and put the hair grips in like I asked. So thank you for doing my hair, but please be more professional in future and less irritable when you have a customer.
Really nice place, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Very happy with my hair and Yvette was great at listening and understanding what I was after. Really reasonable prices too!
Katy has been doing my hair since Esky opened. I always feel refreshed and happy when i leave. I also feel welcome in the salon which always has a friendly vibe to it. Highly recommend. Georgie has also done my daughter's hair and she's absolutely chuffed with the outcome. Thanks
